Wonder of childhood, Magic of imagination

Wonder of childhood, Magic of imagination!

I have been holding on to this photo of my daughter for years just waiting for the perfect inspiration.
How many of us remember sitting on a piece of statuary and imagining themselves flying off into far away lands and having grand adventures.  I know I did! This 7 Dots Studio paper inspired this layout with such bubbly magical colors.

This is such a lovely and delicate chipboard table that has lingered way to long in my stash pile.  I did a faux metal treatment on it.
I place little bits of whimsy through out the layout.
I love the coordinating stickers from 7 Dots Studios.  They add just the right touch to finish the layout.

Beautiful

So, last week I was digging for a certain color paper and found all of these papers in a box I haven't used in years!!  Yes, years!!  This layout is for all of us hoarders.  You know who you are. 8-}

I had this paper chocked full of butterflies.
I did buy a new punch last week.  Love it!

I used black spritz paint and ink on the masking.

time Traveler

Welcome back....so happy to see you again!

Today I am happy to share with you this new layout with a very grungy feel to it.  The picture of my son was taken many moons ago and the colors seem to be fading.  It was taken at Keukenhof Gardens in Holland back in the 80's.  With his sitting in the hollow of this tree it just reminded me so of the BBC series "Dr. Who"!

I wanted to give a feel of traveling through time.

This month I have been working more with masking, inks, sprays and gesso.
Gears of time and the key to my heart which travels where ever he goes.

A close up of the picture clip with strings and things that boys always seem to find and bring home!

Happiness

Greetings one and all!  I hope you are enjoying a safe day at home if you live in the ice ridden areas of the country this morning.  Today I have a layout using the ever lovely Graphic 45 Bird Song collection.

This is a portrait of my father and his sisters taken in 1944.  I titled it "Happiness" since those were happy times in his life.
I wanted to give the bouquet an Asian flair so I cut out leaves and hopefully made them look as if they came off a bamboo stalk.

Spring's Sweet Beauty

Last month I won this beautiful new paper collection from Blue Fern.  As an add happy they also included some of their yummy chipboard pieces!  It is cold and snowy outside so I just had to do a piece that let spring time into the house.  Just look at these wonderful colors!

Thank you for stopping by to see what the papers are saying today.  Stay warm!

I am entering this into Blue Fern Studios.
This is their sketch for February.

Scrap Around the World now has it's February moodboard up!  I love the colors. . . bold yet soft.  That was my jumping off point for this layout.  I also selected the candies.  I always felt my daughter was full of sweetness, hence, sweet beauty.  The gold on the pots so shinny gave way to the iridescence of the butterflies.

Play time fun

SWAT  is having a fun time with their birthday celebration.  This is hump day and they thought it would be fun to send it over to the fans to share their favorite project.  It doesn't need to be new.

This is one of my all time favorites of my daughter as a baby.

So, Happy Birthday SWAT!

Thank you for stopping by to see what the papers are say today.  I hope you aren't snow bound but if you are  here is me sending you some sunshine to brighten your day.
