The pocket watch asked for some glitter and a band on which to sit. The sign is made of wood which fits the Scrap for help challenge this month.
The train wanted some authenticity. I took some cheese clothe and gave it a paint job to make a field of coal dust for the train tracks. A few old time cards where place here and there. A little doodling was drawn up the sides.
I have been busy this month with a house guest. An old friend of mine was asking around for possible housing for her neighbors daughter who would be interning this summer in our area. We offered up our house and hoped for the best. It is interesting to have a young person in the house again.
So, I finally got around to finishing a page for Scrapping Everyday Miracles their June sketch challenge with a twist. The twist is to make your own flower. I have several flowers on this layout but one of them is homemade.
I had quite the fun with this layout. On the burlap frame I use some sprays to enhance the colors. I made my own tag and even did some fussy cutting on the pocket watch.
I turned the sketch on its side.

We took a vacation to the Grand Canyon and rode an old steam train with the full old west feel and robbers!! They rode up to the moving train on horseback. Boarded the train and pretended to rob us. It was awesome.
This is a close up of the burlap flower I made with a clock center. I felt it suited the layout theme.
Thank you for stopping by to see what the papers are saying today. Can't wait to see you again.
