Live, Stand, Be...Strong!

Live, Stand, Be....Strong!

Yes, I know today is the first day of Spring and yet this layout looks more like fall!  But this picture and the essence of my daughter just fit this month's Once Upon A Sketch  challenge.

Here you can just make out where I use the wonderful Prima Marketing floral mask which I inked with a soft brown.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!!  Today everyone is Irish!  To celebrate I did up this layout from one of my vacations to Ireland.  My daughter and I raising a glass at the Temple Bar in Dublin.

Here I cut out a large circle and made it into strips and zig zag ed them for a more interesting look.

Lady Luck

Lady Luck
I love to photograph my girls.  I even make them climb up into trees to strike a pose!  She just had her hair cut and looked so sassy.
Ok, so I had this wonderful swirly chippy circle I hoped to use on another layout and had it all painted and stamped.  Then it just didn't work.  Today, I felt it worked perfectly for my magical woodland layout.
I tipped the edges with a bright lime green chalk added citrine gems all around the frame.  Look at these fabulous feathers I just received this week!!  Awesome.

My youngest daughter said the layout needed more bling.  So, I give you more bling.

In honor of March 17th, St. Patrick's Day I give you Lady Luck.

My cat spells dog

Who all remembers the song "Walking my cat named dog"?  Well my sister named her cat "dog".  Hence the title My cat spells dog!  She must have been the one taking this picture.  This is me and my baby brother who is holding dog the cat.

After I photographed this layout and went into cropping I discovered my clock hand had shifted!  Drats!!
I just love this paper by Graphic 45!!  She just needed a touch of bling.

Birthday wishes

Happy birthday to you!  Yea, it's my son's birthday month and this year he will become a first time dad.  So, I am going through all my old photo albums and making a scrapbook for him to show his little one what he looked like at different ages. Here he is at three.

This is XOXO Scrapbooking March scrap lifting challenge.  It is based on a 4x4 grid.  You can put pictures in fours squares or you can mix and match.  This is a great way to use up those bits and pieces of papers that always seem to be left over after a project. I have quite a few 6x6 pads of paper that are just perfect for this type of sketch.   I hope you will join us and maybe next month you will be our Guest Designer!
I love to twik my pages.  The top pic shows how I added a cut out piece behind the tag.  Notice how it makes it stand out more now.

I won these gorgeous bright cheerful papers from Authentique last month.  How perfect for this layout.  The back ground for these photos were very dark and the subject matter wasn't important so I cut him out of them and used them like this.
I bought him one of those toys were the top of the drum lifts off and inside you find several more instruments.  He had thick red locks as a child.  Who would have thought that by age 20 his hair line would recede so far back that it was better just to shave it bald!  I did save a lock in his book.

Notice the twik between these two pics.

In each corner I punched bubble holes for added dimension.

Papers

Authentique  Crave, Wishes, Merriment

Embellishments

Authentique stickers
Ribbon, flowers and bling from my stash

Thanks for stopping by to see what the papers are saying today!  Just nine more to go til I reach my goal of 50 follows.  Hope you are next!  Thank you
