Lovely Smile

Lovely Smile

I am still scrapping pics of my children when they were small.  This is such a sweet picture of my youngest as she prepares to play in the sand box.

Have you visited the challenge blog "More than Words"? This month challenge was to use a sketch (I just love a sketch to make short work of putting a layout together)  and the word smile, who doesn't have one!.  Super easy.

The next challenge I entered worked with sunlight.  I started by adding gesso to portions of my background then adding a stencil that can pass as sunburst.  Next I added various shades of yellow and pink then stippled it all in white.
I decided to take this picture under the window so you could see how the colors blend in hues of the sun from bright white to golden with hints of pink.

Happy Memories

Happy Memories

Summer time means my time creating is limited.  I have been traveling lately visiting my children.  Next month my youngest daughter is taking me to China!  Hopefully in the fall I will have more time to devote to my craft with lots of lovely pics from my travels.

Lindy's Stamp Gang was the inspiration for the colors in this layout plus the earthy down home feel to it.  Since I am traveling so much this summer I only had time to use the colors on hand..

Here are some close up showing how I blended these colors to create flow and movement.

I love how rustic the windmill and sign look.

I found this wonderful moodboard challenge at Off the Rails Scrapbooking.

Micro beads were added for more texture.

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek.  Your lovely comments are always appreciated.
