How amazing to be taking tea on the lawns of Buckingham Palace London.

I Love Geography

My daughter and I were in London to visit my new baby grandson!  Well it just turned out that Buckingham palace was open to visitors while the queen was away on vacation.  It was amazing!!!
I selected the gorgeous Marion Smith Junque Gypsy-Carpi Diem paper to as a base for my layout.
I cut out the adorable envelope from the  Marion Smith Junque Gypsy- Faux Pas paper. Then I jumped over to Marion Smith Time Keeper-Exploratorium paper and cut out a few of the post cards for layering.
I used a large clock stencil and red modeling paste around the page for added interest.

The clock chipboard piece was lightly brushed with walnut stain then glued to Marion Smith Timekeeper-Portfolio paper cut out into a circle.  Then I came back and  then glued in some copper micro beads.

Finally I added some flowers, leaves and metal balloon ornaments to complete my layout.

I hope you have enjoyed what you have seen here today and let your own creativity take flight.

C'est Magnifique Progressive Pages

Hello, C'est Magnifique Friends!  Welcome to the C'est Magnifique's Progressive Pages !  This challenge will accommodate all levels of scrappers from the beginners/clean scrappers to all you mixed media artists! Greetings and welcome back!   Kathleen here with a fun layout using this month's Enchanted Gardens Kit.

Most scrappers will have a few paper punches laying around and this layout gives you the opportunity to put  them in use.  This is a doily lace punch and I opted not to tear off the top strip.
I randomly used the punch on all four sides then glued strips of the green print paper behind them.
Next I cut off the tail end of my arrows. with the arrow heads facing opposing directions I adhered them 2" from the top and bottom.
My picture is matted with three different patterned papers using different punches randomly to offer more texture and movement and set it on the lower arrow.

Next I selected a variety of objects from the "Recall" and "Timeless" papers and cut them out.  I then created a montage using these cutouts on the top arrow and a couple of items for the bottom arrow and slipped in a sticker or two.

The Enchanted Gardens kit come with this gorgeous beaded ribbon which I placed on top of my montage.
Next using the C'est Magnifique Pink Bubble paint found in last months mix media kit I high lighted the areas around the arrows.  Next I stamped around those areas with a chicken wire stamp followed by a leafy vine stamp.
I completed my layout by creating a floral arrangement with the lush green leaves, miniature flowers and butterfly.

(Main kit only)

stash item: paints and punches

A Couple of close ups.

I hope this has inspired you to let your own creativity take flight.  I can't wait to see your creation.  Thanks for stopping by and don't forget to check out the C'est Magnifique store!

Happy Valentine's Day

Kathleen here sharing a mixed media layout with you featuring 7 Dots Studio Domestic Goddess papers and Helmar's Crystal Kote Fixative.

Happy Valentine's Days everyone!  Today I am sharing with you a layout of my two special valentines, my daughters.  This photo shows their very distinctive personalities!
I did not want to loose the color or design of this paper by applying gesso.  I also didn't have any clear gesso but I did have Helmar's Crystal Kote Fixative.  I gave both sides of the paper a good spray.  Now the paper is ready to take on the paints without soaking into the paper.
For this layout I choose7 Dots Studio Domestic Goddess-Ah, Whatever paper.
for the base and layered in cards and tags from the 7Dots Studio Domestic Goddess-Collage-Fashionista and Domestic Goddess-Tags 12x12.
I applied some red model paste using the 7 Dots Studio Soul Mates- Squares mask.

Helmar Zapdots black round 1/4 inch were the perfect size and strength to adhere these gears in place.

Helmar Acid Free Glue was the perfect medium to adhere this decorate pair of scissors and all of these copper beads in the bottle cap spilling out and down the page. This Acid Free glue gives me just enough wiggle room time to place my letters in just the right position as they cascade down the side of the picture.

For the chipboard piece I gave them all a nice coat of Lindy's Stamp Gang Tibetan Poppy Teal then using a paint brush I dipped it in Lindy's Stamp Gang Incandescent Copper and randomly accented each piece.

After all of my pieces were in place I came back and highlighted it with Lindy's Stamp Gang Tibetan Poppy Teal and did a bit of stamping

Thank you for stopping by and taking a peek.  I always enjoy your lovely comments.  Don't forget to stop by Nani Ke Ola store to see what's new or just to stock up on the latest collections and products!

Greetings C'est Magnifique fans!  Kathleen here to share my project I created using the incredible Enchanted Garden Kit featuring Kaisercraft Treasured Moment paper collection.   Be sure to check back often to catch how the other amazingly talented ladies on the team have used these kits.

(I used only the main kit)
stash items:  punches
This was such a fun layout to create.  The base paper for this layout is the vibrant pink patterned paper "Wonder" and topped it with "Flashback" using both sides.  Next I started fussing cutting gorgeous frames and watches from the "Recall" paper followed by a few flowers from the "Memory" paper.  Then finish  off with a few of the stickers from the sticker sheet included in the kit.

I simply love the soft pick flowers and the bold green leaves included in the kit.

Once again I used "Wonder" as my base paper top stitching it for a bit more definition.  Next I cut 1/2 inch off the top and side of the gorgeous floral "Memory" paper used  corner punch then top stitched it.

(I used only the main kit)
stash item: punches, cheese clothe and sewing machine

The Garden Fantasy kit comes with this fantastic die cut frame!  I trimmed off one side then fit a piece of "Timeless" paper in the center.  Once again I fussy cut a few more elements and added the around my picture for interest.  Next I cut the top paper in the center side and tacked it back revealing a bit of stenciling work.  Then I finished it all off with lots of leaves and flowers.

"Recollection" is a sweet Swiss dot paper just perfect for this photo of my daughter.  I think she looks a lot like Shirley Temple here with all of those curls!

(I used only the main kit)
stash items: stencil, cheese clothe, stamps and ink, dark pink paint and pink glitter from last months kit.

I started this layout with a polka dotted stencil and modeling paste.  I spritz it with the lovely soft pink paint included in last month's mixed media kit.  Using the doily included in the kit I used it as my focal frame and used just a touch of glue in the center so that I could tuck a few bits underneath.

Before setting my picture on top I cut a piece of  cheese clothe to flow across the page then I clipped  these adorable miniature clothes pin to either end of the gold ribbon, both of which are included in the kit, and draped it diagonally across the page.  The placed my photo and tiny frame using pop dots on top of the doily.  Finishing with flowers from the sticker sheet, cut out and others.

Here is a double page pocket life project I created using only the main kit.  These are photos of my beautiful niece's family.  They did a birth announcement photo shoot with the whole crew.  How adorable is that little munchkin!

Close ups of each page.  I just love the page full of stickers included in this kit

Thank you for stopping by today and having a peek.  I hope what you have seen here today has inspired you to let your own creativity take flight. Don't forget to play along with this month's challenges!
