Little Darlings

Little Darlings....That's right I am a little darling being held by my older brother.  I have been waiting for a long time trying to figure out the perfect layout for this cherished childhood portrait. Graphic 45 came along with this collection of papers and ta da here it is!
I decided to vary the lengths of the ribbon ends to give the illusion of motion.  The ribbon running along the banner is also loose to show motion as if a gentle breeze is blowing lifting the butterflies ever higher.  I curled strips from the checkered paper to give the page more life.  The beautiful Petaloo blooms provide a slopping garden taking the viewers eyes from one child to the next until you spy the the two little darlings in the window.  The journaling is on the back side.  It reads: "My brother, Tom, left this earth to soon.  But I can always find him in this window to my heart.  I miss you big brother".  So as you can see this was a very special moment in my life to have this portrait of us taken together.

Thank you for stopping by and taking a peek at what's happening at Talking Papers.  You are awesome.
