Back to School House
Today's challenge #16 over at Craft Hoarders Anonymous is all about using office supplies.
My project was inspired by Graphic 45 design team member Keri Sallee's Steampunk Spells Spooky little house. The base of this project is a typical file folder trimmed and folded like a piece of origami. You can view Keri's video on how to fold the folder
here. Does anyone out there remember the song "To Sir with Love" and the move with said title? It is a very inspiring movie about growing up and preparing yourself for the world. So on the inside is a picture of my daughter preparing to write her story.
September for me is a time for hitting the books and back to school. I thought Graphic 45's Typography collection was perfect for this little red school house.
I used the 8x8 papers. The base of the house is cut to 6" wide and 8" high. The triangles of the roof are 8" by 4" cut into triangles.
Here you can write notes about special childhood memories. There is a pocket to leave a note.
The tiles of the roof are made up different shapes from circles to arrows traced and cut from card stock tag sheet. The flowers are from a small flower punch.
This is where it all began.
Thank you for stopping by to see what the papers are saying today.
