December challenge; use a stencil or mask

                              (Creative Embellishments DT)

Ohhhhhh I am so ready for December and the holidays, how about you!!   Kathleen here wishing you a very merry stress free month.  Just breathe and take in all of the wonderful sights and sounds.  My new grandson turns six months and it is his first Christmas.  So, I thought I would create a winter wonderland canvas filled with yummy CE chippies!

We have a Mickey Mouse train that runs around under our Christmas tree which I love.  Creative Embellishments had this Christmas train  which is my focal and starting off point for this canvas.  I applied a coat of gesso then starting painting the cars with Shimmerz Inklings peppermint twist, miner, miner 49er and emerald city.  The trees received a smuggy layer of Shimmerz Texturez artie choked.

My daughter was trying to sell llama paintings to raise money for her college's medical missionary trip this summer.  She had leftovers and I decided to recycle the.  This is an 11x14" canvas. I ripped a piece of Webster's paper Sweet Seasons at an angle and cropped off two inches on the side to give an opening down the center .  Here I used a dot stencil and applied a mask which I also added on the edges.
