Paper Wings

October is finally here and what a fun month it is!  Hi, my name is Kathleen White and I am so honored to be guest designer this month with Paper Wings Productions.  I hope to see more of you later this month for my other reveals but for now on with the hop!

Here is the mixed media canvas I created with items from the Vintage Easter and Fall nesting component kits.

I simply adore all the wonderful items found in these kits from embossing powders to ink crystals.
I use everything from these kits including the cardboard insert to mount the muslin fabric I used as a canvas.

Want to know how I created this canvas?  It was super easy.  This part was done before I mounted it on the cardboard.  First I spritzed some water on the muslin so the inks would merge together.  Take a bit of the walnut ink crystal and add water til you get the depth of color you want.  It takes several application on the muslin to achieve the saturation I was looking for.  I used green and yellow gelatos as well.  Just play around.  Once I had the main colors down I came back with a couple of shimmers color for a bit of sparkle.  Top it all off with some masking with Artichoke texturez  paste

I framed the clip art and tucked some cheese clothe behind it.

Thank you for joining us today!  I hope you will become a follower of mine today.
